BEYOND WORKFLOW: Improving efficiency in downloading, editing and RAW processing.

NEXT SESSION 2008 | 1 DAY WORKSHOP - TBD

Reclaim your life!

One of the biggest complaints from digital photographers is the amount of time they spend downloading, organizing, editing and processing their digital files. Whether you are a pro shooting hundreds or thousands of images on a project, or an amateur who needs to sort through a card full of vacation or birthday party photos, you’ve felt it too.

This 1-day workshop helps you take control of Adobe CS3’s Bridge and Camera RAW for managing, organizing, editing and processing your RAW files for presentation as web galleries and contact sheets - the stages that precede the creation of the Final File/Print in Photoshop.

Learn techniques for spending less time at the computer editing and processing your work - and improve your images at the same time. Reduce the time it takes to manage your photos, and quickly batch process your RAW files for optimal presentation.

The morning session will demonstrate a step-by-step process for downloading and verifying your initial capture, and then organizing and editing your shoot using Adobe Bridge. The afternoon session concentrates on the value of RAW capture which allows fast and powerful single image and batch processing of RAW files using Bridge and Adobe Camera RAW. Applying exposure, color-correction and other enhancement instructions to RAW files in the processing stage allows you to present color-corrected work in web galleries and contact sheets with the click of a button.

Photography is about creating compelling images. Not just another “workflow” class, this approach is about realizing the creative potential of digital RAW capture to improve your images, and an efficient process for achieving results.

NOTE: This workshop features Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Bridge. Although this is a demonstration class, students are encouraged to bring a laptop.
